E&E's biennial field excursion to Death Valley, California

Fifteen Geoscience students and two geology faculty participated in E&E's biennial field excursion to Death Valley, Calif. and environs during Spring Break. They explored a variety of features including the geologic history of Precambrian rocks as old as 1.7 billion years (see photo), fairly recent volcanic blowout craters, and current sand dune formation. What a fantastic place to see geology!
