Minor in Geology

Our 17-credit Minor in Geology is a five-course sequence that gives students a basic understanding of geology.

  • Courses
    • GLY 1010 Physical Geology (3) and GLY 1010L Physical Geology Lab (1) OR GLY 3039 Environmental Geology (3) and GLY 3039L Environmental Geology Lab (1)
    • GLY 1100 Historical Geology (3) and GLY 1100L Historical Geology Lab (1) OR GLY 1101 The History of Life (3) and GLY 1101L The History of Life Lab (1)
    • GLY 3202 Earth Materials (3) and GLY 3202L Earth Materials Lab (1)
    • At least 5 credits of approved Earth Sciences/Geosciences courses at the 3000 or 4000 level (excluding GLY 3039)

  • Application

    Current degree-seeking students should submit the Change of Program/Plan form to add a minor. Approved minor applications will be forwarded to the Registrar for processing.
